How do you use Duck Fat for Burgers
Add a tablespoon of duck fat, Sear 3 burgers at the time quickly on each side, then transfer to grill grate to finish.
Add last tablespoon of the duck fat for second batch of patties.
Grill until medium, or desired doneness, 3-4 minutes per side, basting with fig sauce.

- Ground duck breast — Duck is one of my favorite proteins, but it’s hard to have on a budget. Enter ground duck burgers! They give you that luscious, gamey duck flavour without the fine dining price. I made these burgers with ground duck breast to make them super simple and easy to make.
- Maple Syrup — maple syrup is one of my favourite natural sweeteners. It gives a special sweet but smokey flavor to the duck.
- First, place all the ingredients, except the coconut oil, in a bowl and stir them together to combine.
- Next, form the ground duck mixture into 4 evenly sized patties, making a thumb print in the middle of each patty.
- Then place a large frying pan or skillet on the stove on medium-high heat and allow the coconut oil to melt.
- Once the oil is melted, add the patties to the pan and cook the burgers for 3-5 minutes per side, until cooked through and no longer pink inside.
- Now serve and enjoy!
